Last Friday, fourth of December, the classes of 6th of primary and secondary in Helios enjoyed the play "Edward Scissorhands".
The play is about Peg, a street vendor who knocks on the door of a house in a remote hill town to sell beauty products and makeup.
When the door opened, she found a human-shaped robot that has scissors for hands. Seeing him, she feels he is lonely and takes it home. Arriving home, she and her husband discovered that he has great skills for cutting and shaping hedges, obtaining animal figures and geometric shapes.
Margie, their nosy neighbour finds Edward, inviting them to a barbecue at his house for dinner and she wants to hire Edward as a gardener and take home the geometric and animal forms she loved so much.
Arriving home Kim, the daughter of Peg, does not like Edward live with them, but then they become friends because Kim discovers Edward's ability also serves to cut dresses, which she likes very much.
Jim, Kim's boyfriend, doesn’t like Edward because he does not like that Edward is close to his girlfriend. Jim is angry with Edward and insults, but Kim defends Edward. Jim accepts but he is still angry, so he sets a trap for Edward to look like a thief, stopping the police.
Peg bails and Edward is free, but he says he is destined to be forever alone to do no harm to those around him, returning to his castle.
Kim cannot stand this and followed him to the castle, declaring her love. Jim challenges him to a fight. Edward wins the fight and is about to kill Jim, but forgives him; Jim limping in pain leaves.
In the end, love triumphs and Edward and Kim live in happiness in his castle.
Then we had time to ask questions about the representation to the characters.
It was a great day, I enjoyed it and we could take group photos with the actors in the play.

Scissors hands is a film of 1990.The 5th of December we saw a play called “Scissors hands”. This play was fantastic and we enjoyed with it.
The play was about a person called Edward who lived in an old castle very far from the city. A perfumes’ seller finds Edward and takes him to the city. Edward has got in the hands scissors instead of fingers. He likes to cut bushes, giving to them different forms like snakes or dinosaurs.
One day, he meets a girl who likes him, and he falls in love with her, but the girl has got another friend who is a little evil and doesn’t like Edward and so, he decides to kill him.
Edward, using his hands, kills the guy and then, goes to his house and stays alone, but his friend talks to him to go with her and he agrees.
Sometimes the people of the play chose someone from the public to participate into the play.
Then we took photos with the characters and we asked some questions to them.
